Health Food

Chicken flavored Ramen, tuna fish, and hot sauce (for vegetable component)!

Someone posted a link explaining recent changes to WordPress a while ago. I didn’t open the link at the time and wish I had.

I cannot *like* a lot of responses to my posts. Also, I have to enter my password most of the time when I respond to someone else.

Is everyone having these problems? Is there a workaround? Does the desktop app work better than the web interface?

Thanks!

  1. Yes. If I click on a link to read the rest of a post and try to like your work, it will not show up as liked.

    1. Bizarre. Why fix something that isn’t broken?

  2. Since I’ve only been regularly interacting like this on WP since January, I had no idea it was a new thing. YES!! I’ve also got a glitch where if I try to respond from “Conversations”, I can’t use my “n” key, which forces me to rework it or come from a different direction to comment. It’s so cumbersome!!!

  3. I just keep commenting or liking until it shows up. A lot of times I have to resign in, even for multiple posts on the same site. Your site actually takes my abuse pretty well-that might be worse luck for you tho! Every site seems to be different, and has different ways it likes to accept comments and likes. The worst ones get the notifications sidebar automatically displayed over half the page, and you can’t turn it off, so you can’t comment at all, or at least find any way to press the send button. Then I have to go to my reader, search for the post, and comment there. Yours doesn’t do that to me.

    1. I clicked like on your response six times to no avail. I probably should try with another browser and try the reader. At least I’ve learned my password well, all 16 characters.

  4. I would have said the desktop WordPress app works best but I think they just changed something and it’s giving me fits. Not that tech companies care, but their unending “updates” are just maddening to users.

    1. I’ve got the app but I haven’t used it much. I’ll try it tomorrow to see if I get a better response. Funny thing is, I had no problems till a few weeks ago.
