Mind and body

Daily writing prompt
What do you wish you could do more every day?

Exercising my mind and my body would improve my health and well-being. I read in spurts, sometimes only a paragraph or two at a time. This often leads to reading the same thing over and over. Gone are the days when I finished four or five books a week. I don’t exercise much. I cannot right now, other than work. One of my feet is not very happy. It acts up now and then and now is now.

My doctor told me I need to put exercise on a schedule, like my work schedule. I’ve thought of downloading audio books and reading them while walking around the neighborhood. I get distracted while reading though, and audio books are not as easy to back up a page and reread as it is with a real books or ebooks.

This spring I’ll be working on both these things. Scheduling them in without making them yet another chore will be the trick.

  1. I have the same balances with exercise. ‘First thing in the morning’ is supposed to be a magic key, but here I am, doing this first thing. 🙂 And smiling, and starting my day off in a fun way.

    1. I listen to NPR when I walk. I should give podcasts a try.
