The last year I worked as an engineer, I was asked to do the yearly department diversity presentation. I had no idea what to write, and stayed up most of the night before the presentation day, trying to decide what to say.
I wish I have the presentation still. I’d share the whacky thing here. I know I didn’t talk about any of the things people usually talk about. All the ways we divide people up. Instead, I wrote about diversity of thought.
Our life experiences, the wiring we’re born with, and any brain trauma we may experience make us what we are, moment to moment.
